Cybersocket Hosts Annual L.A. Gay Pride Kick-Off Party

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Cybersocket on Saturday evening hosted its annual Los Angeles Gay Pride Kick-Off Party.

A tradition going back 15 years, Kick-Off Party guests included adult industry professionals, service providers and well-known gay adult performers for an evening of food, drink and networking.

This year’s location was at the Vietnamese restaurant PHOnomenal on Santa Monica Boulevard in the heart of West Hollywood, where the three-day festival was staged and where the route of Sunday’s parade passed.

“We’ve been exhibiting at the L.A. Gay Pride for 17 years, and we started doing a little kick-off party on the weekend about 15 years ago just to mingle with friends, colleagues and whoever wants to come out,” Cybersocket Co-founder Morgan Sommer told XBIZ.

The Presenting Sponsor for Cybersocket’s Gay Pride Kick-Off party was Supermen.com, while Gold Sponsors included Pride Card Services, a division of Signature Card; CAM4; Men4RentNow.com; MojoHost; and MPA3.

Sommer said that “part of the deal is that we also try to push sponsors at the Gay Pride festival, so if they have a product to push at our booth we just do that. And that gives them access to 35,000 at the festival.”

Attendees of Cybersocket’s Gay Pride Kick-Off Party told XBIZ that not only was the party fun, but lots of connections were made and lots of bonds strengthened.

“Morgan did a fantastic job putting this together,” said Kristen Kay of K Squared Dynamics, which reps CAM4. “CAM4 is well represented and happy to be a sponsor. Food is great; people are great.

“There’s nothing better than a Cybersocket event,” she said.

“Amazing,” Flirt4Free’s Jasmine James told XBIZ. “It’s a great time for business and to have a cocktail while speaking with the attending executives.”
